Hachisuka mansion was at northeast of Miyaushiro Hachiman shrine. The land is vast and there were a moat surrounded it. There was also a well somewhere around the monument. The well was filled in when the prefecture road, Ichinomiya- Inuyama line constructed cross the land of the mansion. To commemorate the mansion, the local people established a monument,
saying, "the birthplace of General Iemasa Hachisuka". The folktale of Miyaushiro in Maeno document describes the mansion as follows: "... Koroku disputed with Nobunaga and fled from Hachisuka village. He stayed with Yasui family in Miyaushiro castle. The land of the mansion was vast and surrounded by a moat. Outside of the moat was mounded..." The master of the mansion was his uncle, therefore, he was staying is his mother's parents' house. |
