Many people might remember a NHK TV program "Nobunaga" and
the characters such as a daughter of Ikoma, Shouemon Maeno, and others
from Konan. Those people were mostly from Ikoma mansion or this Maeno
mansion. Maeno mansion was there in Maeno town by Willow Street, which
connect Inuyama and Nagoya, and the land now belongs to the descendant
of the family, Tatsumo Yoshida.
According to the record, the mansion was so vast that there were a shrine
and eight different houses.
In 1959, the godown of Yoshida broke down by the attack of Ise Bay Typhoon.
As Yoshida cleaning up the place, he found " Bukou-yawa" and
many other records of ancient time. The discovery of new historical facts
revealed detail of events in civil war time.
"Bukou-yawa" is descriptive and recorded the story about Nobunaga,
Hideyoshi, Koroku and Shouemon, and the family's relation with those people.
It also describes the family history and achievements.
This mansion sent out so many important people who were engaged in the
civil war to the world, that we can not speak of the time without mentioning
this mansion.
