Rain pot pond (Amatsubo-ike)

@Dragon shrine is in the quiet forest of hinoki (sun tree) in the west of Ikoma mansion
The description of the shrine says, " establishment year nor date is known. This district is the birthplace of General Nobukatsu Oda. This shrine is the tutelary deity of his family.".

@This shrine enshrines a dragon king, which is known as a god who saves people from drought. According to a folktale, all people in the village prayed for rain in case of the drought. And if their wish would not fulfilled, they would empty the pond (Amatsubo-ike) in precincts. And then if they chant a sutra, soon clouds would come out to cover all the sky and confer a benefit on people.

@When looking at the map of the mansion, there is a big pond in the land and we can tell that vicinity of the mansion was low ground.
There was Ikoma mansion by the pond and "the palace of Kitsuno" where Nobunaga and Kitsuno enjoyed their younger days were supposed to be around the present shrine office.
