9.Shouemon Maeno and Koroku Hachisuka were sworn brothers

@Shouemon Maeno was a brother of Magokuro who was the 14th generation of Maeno. He was a great warlord in civil war time.

@Shouemon was to do page duty under Nobunaga first, but when he was serving Nobukiyo Oda, the master of Inuyama castle, Nobukiyo was trapped by Nobunaga and deprived his status as a warrior. After losing his master, Shouemon served Hideyoshi with Koroku Hachisuka. He always visited Koroku and longed after Koroku as his elder brother. Their relationship was really tight as to swear to be brothers. Shouemon did splendid work to build Sunomata castle under the command on Koroku.

@They attacked Asakura in 1570 and in the same year, they participated in the battle of Omianegawa. In 1577, they fought for subjugation on Chugoku district commanded by Hideyoshi. They participated in the battle of Shikoku, Kyushu, Odawara, and Korea and did outstanding work. After becoming the master Tajima castle, Shouemon show extraordinary talent in governing and equipping and so on. Moreover he was a friend of Yusai Hosokawa, and share the poetical turn of mind. He was a general well up in both literary and military arts.

@In his late years, be served as the tutorage of the chief adviser Hidetsugu. As ill luck would have it, he had to kill himself. That was 1595, Shouemon was 68 years old. His body was buried in Kannon (Goddess of mercy) Temple in Konan City.
